Amy Sillman, Visiting Artist

Amy Sillman has been exhibiting her paintings and works on paper since the early 1980s, recently at Brent Sikkema Gallery, P.S. 1, The Palm Beach Institute for Contemporary Art, and the 2004 Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Sillman is the recipient of several awards, including a NEA Fellowship in Painting, a Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award, and a John Simon Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship in Painting. Visiting Artist is an amalgam of Sillman's various artist-in-residency experiences, an oddly hilarious story of isolation, loneliness and social confusion.

This past year Amy's solo exhibition, "Amy Sillman: Third Person Singular", traveled from the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington D.C. to the Tang Teaching Museum at Skidmore College, Skidmore, PA.

Visiting Artist measures 4.5 x 6 inches, contains 20 pages, and retails for $15.
